For Funders & Partners

Building Healing Communities Together

At Nurturing Ancestral Wombs, we believe every family deserves access to compassionate, holistic postpartum and birth support. Too often, families — especially those from marginalized communities — go without the care they need due to cost, access, or lack of culturally rooted providers.

We are changing that story.

Our Mission:

To nurture parents, babies, and families through postpartum doula care, ancestral healing, and community-based wellness — creating sacred spaces where rest, recovery, and resilience are possible for all.

Why This Work Matters

  • Families with postpartum doula care report less anxiety, lower rates of postpartum depression, and stronger infant bonding.

  • Communities benefit when parents are supported — healthier children, stronger families, and lasting cycles of care.

  • Many families in St. Louis and the Metro East region lack access to affordable doula support. We exist to close that gap.

Grantmaking & Philanthropy

Your funding helps us subsidize care for families in crisis, expand our sliding-scale program, and create community wellness events.

Individual Donors

Every contribution directly supports a family in need. Even one gift can provide meals, rest, or newborn care for a parent in crisis.

Our Impact in 2025:

Even without major funding, Nurturing Ancestral Wombs has already begun changing lives through consistent, faith-rooted, and community-centered support.

3 Families Served in 2025 (so far)

  • Long-Term Care: Supported one family for 3 months when they had no relatives nearby. This gave their loved ones time to make arrangements and travel while ensuring the parents had daily care.

  • Pro-Bono Support: Walked alongside a mother on Medicaid facing unstable housing. Through consistent support, she was able to secure new housing at 8 months pregnant — creating safety before her baby arrived.

  • Transportation Access: Provided a ride to an expectant mother without bus fare or Uber money, making sure she had safe access to support when she needed it most.

💛 Why This Matters

  • Direct Care Hours: Over 300+ hours of postpartum and community care already provided in 2025.

  • Barriers Addressed: Isolation, housing instability, and transportation gaps.

  • Outcomes: Families who might have fallen through the cracks received care, stability, and dignity.

With sustainable funding and partnerships, our capacity to support families like these will multiply — ensuring no parent has to heal or raise a child without a village.
